Founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus works to better the lives of those in their communities and around the world.
The Chapter #11390 of Knights of Columbus is a community of men centered around the Holy Apostles parish in Hanson & Halifax, MA – including St. Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson, and Our Lady of the Lake Church in Halifax.
Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.
